DavidRENDALL1932 - 2023 David's family wish to convey our warmest thanks to the many friends who gathered with us last Friday as we laid David to rest in Blairgowrie Cemetery, and together joined in a Service of Thanksgiving in Kirk Wynd for David's long and quiet commitment to follow the Lord Jesus. The last verse of Stuart Townend's hymn perhaps best sums up David's life:- There is a hope that stands the test of time, That lifts my eyes beyond the beckoning grave To see the matchless beauty of a day divine When I behold His face! When sufferings cease and sorrows die, And every longing satsfied, When joy unspeakable will flood my soul, For I am truly Home. Our thanks too, to those who have surrounded us with love and comfort through social media, through the dozens of cards and telephone calls received, we are overwhelmed by your kindness. We will undoubtedly miss some, but our special thanks to Rev. Dan Peterson, Free Church Minister in Aultbea, for leading the services, to David Scott Funeral Directors for their careful guidance through the funeral process, to Dorothy Lees for her memory stirring selection of gospel music, to Willie Little for the excellence of his hospitality - so much appreciated.
